Privacy policy

This site is a plain comparison page. There are no accounts, no logins, no comment boxes and no forms, and nothing is booked or paid for here, which leaves very little data to worry about in the first place.

What gets gathered

Aggregate analytics, once enabled, record the basics: which pages were opened, roughly where the visit came from, what type of device was used, and which listing links were clicked. The purpose is to show whether a page about, say, the Strand walking tours or the haunted pub crawls is actually helping readers, not to identify anyone. No names, no email addresses and no payment details are stored, because none are ever requested and there is nothing on this site to pay for.

Cookies and third-party pages

Analytics tooling sets its own cookies. When you click through to a tour listing, the booking platform sets a cookie so your reservation can be attributed back to this site. Those cookies belong to the platform and are covered by its privacy policy, not this one. The same applies to any operator site you reach from here, whether that is a walking tour company or the boat tour operator: once you leave, you are on somebody else's terms. The disclosure page names which platforms are involved and explains the arrangement.

What never happens

• Trade your details with anyone.
• Run ad networks, tracking pixels or marketing cookies of any kind.
• Request an email address. No newsletter, no mailing list, no user accounts.
• Process a payment or hold a seat for you. When you book a Strand ghost walk or the haunted harbor boat, the transaction runs on the operator's own booking page, never on this site.
• Operate a contact form. The contact page opens your own email program, so any message to us travels through your mail provider and no one else's systems.

Hosting

This site runs behind Cloudflare, which keeps basic server logs with IP addresses for security and abuse prevention. We never look through those logs to profile or identify readers.

Your choices

Tracking protection in your browser, an ad blocker or a private window will each stop the analytics script, and nothing here degrades when they do. Every page loads and every tour listing works with JavaScript switched off.
